Via this notice, PORTAL UNIVERSIA, S.A., with registered office at Avda. de Cantabria s/n - Edif. Arrecife, planta 00. 28660 Boadilla del Monte - Madrid and email address registro@universia.net (hereafter UNIVERSIA) informs users of the different Internet portals owned by this company (hereafter "Users" and "Portal") about its personal data protection policy in order for Users to provide UNIVERSIA with any personal data requested upon subscribing or registering for any of the services offered by UNIVSERIS on the Portal or through the Portal. In any case, the remittance of this data in order to register as a user and compliance with any stated requirements is obligatory in order for the registration process to be completed. UNIVERSIA reserves the right to modify this notice in order to adapt it to any new legislation or jurisprudential changes, or any modifications or practices in the industry. In any such case, UNIVERSIA will announce on this page the changes to be introduced with a reasonable period of notice prior to implementation.
Certain services provided by the Portal may contain particular conditions with specific provisions with regard to Personal Data protection.
The Personal Data collected will be handled automatically and included on the relevant automated file. In line with current legislation, this File is registered on the General Data Protection Register under the following reference code: 2013550008. UNIVERSIA provides Users with the necessary technical resources, in order to ensure that they may access this notice on Privacy Policy or any other information in advance, and may consent to the automatic handling of Personal Data by UNIVERSIA.
The User declares that the Personal Data provided to UNIVERSIA is truthful, and will be responsible for informing the latter of any modification to these. The User expressly authorised UNIVERSIA to verify the aforementioned data, including membership of the University indicated, through the relevant institutions.
The purpose of the collection and automated handling of Personal Data is to maintain a contractual relationship, where applicable, with UNIVERSIA, and the management, administration, provision, extension and improvement of the services to which the User decides to subscribe, register, or use, the adaptation of these services to User tastes and preferences, the analysis of the use of services by Users, the design of new services, and the remittance of technical, operational and commercial information regarding its products and services. The purpose of the collection and automated handling of Personal Data also includes the remittance of survey forms, to which the User is under no obligation to reply.
UNIVERSIA is expressly authorised to use the aforementioned data for commercial and promotional purposes regarding services and products, and also for products and services offered by third parties, to which affect the user, conscious of the use of data for this purpose expressly authorises UNIVERSIA to send commercial correspondence regarding the products and services of UNIVERSIA or third parties, including electronic correspondence, in the terms set forth in Art. 21 of Spanish Law 34/2002, regarding Information Society Services.
UNIVERSIA has adopted the levels of security and Personal Data Protection required by law, and aims to install and make use of any other media or additional technical measures available in order to prevent the loss, incorrect use, alteration, unauthorised access or theft of the Personal Data provided to UNIVERSIA.
Notwithstanding the above, the User must be aware that Internet Security measures are not impenetrable.
Users have, and may exercise the right to access, cancel, rectify and oppose this data, by contacting UNIVERSIA by ordinary mail, including a copy of their National Identity Card and indicating their address, to PORTAL UNIVERSIA, S.A., at Ciudad Grupo Santander.
